Canola in bloom along the highway shoulder, an empty road running west into a low sun, a grain elevator and a railway crossing keeping each other company. That's most of Saskatchewan past fifty. Regina and Saskatoon hold the bulk of the population; Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Yorkton, and the smaller towns make up the rest. Members tend to be practical, patient, and used to driving an hour without thinking about it.
Setting up a profile on Over 50 Singles Meet costs nothing, and so does looking around. The only step that asks for a card is sending a message, and by that point you've already read who's nearby and decided whether someone is worth a few minutes more. No upfront commitment, no surprise renewal if you change your mind.
For a first meeting in Saskatchewan, Saskatoon has the Meewasin trail along the river, a coffee at Museo on Broadway, or the Forestry Farm in summer. Regina has Wascana Lake's footpaths and the cafés around 13th Avenue. Smaller centres do well with the local rec-centre coffee or a walk through Moose Jaw's Crescent Park. Pick a place that's an easy half-hour drive for both of you.
