The Clifton Suspension Bridge stretched across the Avon Gorge, a dozen hot-air balloons drifting low against an apricot dawn, the pastel terraces of Clifton stepping down to the river and the SS Great Britain moored in the harbour beyond, Bristol on a Balloon Fiesta morning. Singles past 50 here often landed the second act by design, corporate London years traded for cheaper rent and a shorter commute. However you got here, the welcome is unstuffy and warm.
Browsing and creating a profile costs nothing. Read other members, see who's nearby, take your time. Sending a note needs an upgrade (fair trade, that's how the lights stay on), and you'll know if anyone here is worth it long before you decide to pay.
Bristol members tend to start at the Harbourside or in Clifton Village. The Suspension Bridge is the set-piece walk; St Nicholas Market is the Saturday lunch; Brandon Hill and the Cabot Tower give you a short climb with a view. Stokes Croft is the livelier version of the city. Cheddar Gorge or a drive into the Mendips earns a Saturday once you've already met.
